President Slabach’s solo at Midnight Madness is a slam dunk

10.29.2014 | By: Texas Wesleyan University

Midnight Madness 2014 hit a high note Saturday, Oct. 27, when President Frederick G. Slabach sang the national anthem a cappella in the Sid Richardson gym in front of a lively crowd of basketball players, students, faculty and staff.

President Slabach promised to sing a cappella at Midnight Madness if the university reached its goal of raising $15,000 during North Texas Giving Day in September. The university surpassed this goal and raised more than $25,000 to support institutional scholarships.
