Texas Wesleyan University presents the President’s Council Kick-Off and Music Scholarship Benefit Concert featuring the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, in Nicholas Martin Hall.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will perform a powerful program that will include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, and the Overture to the Marriage of Figaro, as well as Alessandro Marcello’s Oboe Concerto. “The President’s Council Kick-Off always features people closely connected to the community and Texas Wesleyan, and the Fort Worth Symphony is especially important,” said John Fisher, chair of the department of music.

Martin Hall is located at 1309 Wesleyan St. Admission to the concert is free and a reception will follow in Lou’s Place.
