The President’s GEM Award: Dennis Hall

03.04.2015 | By:

The next President’s GEM Award goes to Dennis Hall, dean of students. In his short time here, he has already made a tremendous impact on student life at Texas Wesleyan.

Hall was named interim dean of students last summer and was appointed dean of students in October. In addition to managing the day-to-day duties of dean of students, he has implemented several important programs to benefit our entire campus community, including:

  • AlcoholWise – An alcohol awareness program for all first year students
  • StART team – A ‘Student Advocacy Response Team’ to initiate and facilitate dialogue with students in crisis
  • Violence Against Women/SaVE Act – Campus-wide training and awareness programs in support of sexual assault awareness

Dennis has also helped initiate ‘Wesleyan Wednesday,’ the day we all wear blue and yellow to show our school pride. This seemingly routine day has helped jump-start the growth of our Wesleyan community spirit.

Please join me in applauding Dennis for his hard work and dedication to Texas Wesleyan. His efforts are making a big impact in the lives of our students and helping us reach our goals.
