The 1967 college yearbook, TXWECO, described the newly constructed science building like this: "Construction continued at a breakneck pace throughout the year on the ultra-modern Arnold L. Reed Science Center, due to open its doors to science students in the fall of 1967." Today, the building is known as the Ella C. McFadden Science Center.
