School of Arts and Sciences represents TXWES in the Fiestas Patrias Parade

A group of Texas Wesleyan students and faculty at the 2022 Fort Worth Fiestas Patrias Parade

As part of the Fort Worth Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff Celebration, the School of Arts and Sciences, in conjunction with the Texas Wesleyan Latinx Student Organization and the Gold Line Dancers, participated in the first-annual Fiestas Patrias parade on Sept. 18. Held in the Fort Worth Stockyards, the parade was part of a series of events that included live music, ballet folklórico, cattle drives, El Grito de Independencia and the México en la Sangre Rodeo. Student participants included Alfonso Salais, Ana Ruiz, Anahi Lopez, Noelia Gaytan, Britney Martinez, Isaack Knapp, Gabriela Melendez and Christiana Cross.

Coach Emily Snow, Willie the Ram and the Gold Line Dancers provided pep to the parade, while faculty members Dr. Ricardo Rodriguez, Dr. Chris Ohan, Dr. Alison Simons and Dr. Amy Bell joined in on the fun.
