Throwback Thursday: Texas Wesleyan’s Early Days

Texas Wesleyan – or Polytechnic College, as it was originally known – held its first classes in September 1891. The institution began with a handful of faculty and 111 students. The Polytechnic name literally means “many arts and sciences.”
