Texas Wesleyan is back in the national spotlight for its top-tier education. The university has been featured in the just-released Best Colleges 2020 rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
“Once again, U.S. News has recognized what I see on campus everyday – talented students being trained for successful careers by our faculty experts,” President Frederick G. Slabach said. “Our students, faculty and staff do invaluable work every day, and I’m pleased to see the well-deserved attention their efforts continue to bring to the University.”
New this year, after being ranked in the top tier of regional universities in the west for the past nine years, Texas Wesleyan moved up to the list of national universities. TXWES was also ranked on the list of best business programs, as well as the new social mobility category, which ranks schools based on how successful they are in enrolling and graduating large numbers of disadvantaged students.
“Education is the most powerful socio-economic elevator ever devised by man,” Slabach said. “It’s an equalizer. Education changes the trajectory not only of a graduate’s life, but of the lives that may follow that graduate for generations to come. I am proud of the role Texas Wesleyan plays in attracting and graduating so many first-generation college students.”
