University reports record first-year enrollment with 15% total growth over the past two years 

FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Wesleyan University has broken its own record for the largest first-year cohort in university history for the second consecutive year, university officials announced today. The milestone caps two years of sustained growth, with total enrollment up 15% over that period. 

The incoming class of 511 first-year students surpasses last year's record-setting cohort and continues a broader upward trend that has pushed Texas Wesleyan toward its highest overall enrollment in over 14 years. With a total enrollment of 2,955, officials point to the university's continued investment in personalized student support, expanded academic programming and its new Igniting Impact strategic plan as key drivers of the growth.

Texas Wesleyan, located minutes from downtown Fort Worth, offers more than 40 areas of study across fully in-person, fully online and hybrid formats. The university continues to expand its academic offerings, recently launching a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Artificial Intelligence and a newly enhanced Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences. The university also plans to launch a Master of Science in Business Project Management in the Artificial Intelligence Economy in fall 2027.
