US Table Tennis tourney a big hit for fans, players and media
The U.S. National Table Tennis team trials, a lively and highly competitive event hosted by Texas Wesleyan in the Sid Richardson Center gym March 7-9, attracted media and spectators alike. The tournament was a success for the University, USATT and players.
The tournament featured men and women table tennis players from across the U.S. competing for a spot on the U.S. National Team. Full coverage of the tournament and results can be found at ramsports.net.
Congratulations to current Texas Wesleyan player Yahao Zhang and former Texas Wesleyan player Jim Butler for securing a spot on the men's team, which will compete at the Table Tennis World Championships in Japan.
Texas Wesleyan's table tennis team will head to Pennsylvania next month to defend their decade-long reign as national champions.
