2020 Town Hall Meeting on Sept. 24 will address financial vitality, campus carry

During free period on Thursday, Sept. 24,  President Frederick G. Slabach will host a 2020 Town Hall Meeting in the Baker Building.

Submit questions in advance

2020 Town Hall Meetings replace the previous President’s Open Forum. Meetings will address specific goals of the strategic plan, and include a question-and-answer session with President Slabach. Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit their ideas, comments and questions to the Idea Box online or to the physical box located on the second floor of the Oneal-Sells Administration Building (near the main entrance). Ideas will be read anonymously (if desired) and addressed during the meeting. 

Financial Vitality presentation 

The Sept. 24 meeting will open with a 10-minute presentation that focuses on the University’s goal, followed by a brief Q&A session about the presentation and the announcement of the first recipient of the new Staff Hero Award

Campus carry consultation 

Next, President Slabach will address questions or concerns submitted in advance to the President’s Idea Box, and answer questions from the attendees. During the Sept. 24 session, President Slabach is requesting consultation from faculty and staff regarding Senate Bill 11, also referred to as “campus carry.” Faculty and staff are also encouraged to submit feedback specifically related to campus carry through the President’s Idea Box.

2020 Town Hall Meetings

All 2020 Town Hall Meetings are scheduled during free period and will take place in the Baker Building.
