Beginning June 1, Texas Wesleyan faculty and staff will now be able to take advantage of the Morton Fitness Center its classes for free. The Fitness Center is already free for current Texas Wesleyan students.

Patrons that wish to use a locker will continue to be charged the current locker rental fee of $25 per six months, as locker space is limited.

“Our 2020 Vision includes our vision for continuing to offer great benefits to our talented and hard-working faculty and staff,” President Frederick G. Slabach said. “Free access to the fitness center is another way we can thank faculty and staff for their dedication to Texas Wesleyan.”

President Slabach also explained that the benefit reinforces Texas Wesleyan’s commitment to becoming a Blue Zone Project Approved worksite. Faculty and staff have been encouraged to take the Blue Zones Personal Pledge.

Although faculty and staff will not be charged to use the Fitness Center, they still have to sign up for a membership and fill out the appropriate paperwork before they can use the facility.
