The Texas Wesleyan campus will celebrate our basketball national championship from 12:15–1:15 p.m. March 28 on the steps of the West Library with an event that includes a free barbecue lunch and national champion t-shirts.

Dora’s Café will be closed tomorrow, and the university will serve a free barbecue lunch from 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. (a vegetarian option is available) on the campus mall. In addition to the free lunch and the 12:15 p.m. ceremony, faculty, students and staff will receive a free national champion Texas Wesleyan t-shirt while supplies last. T-shirts will be limited to one shirt per person.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees Beverly Volkman Powell, President Frederick G. Slabach, Athletic Director Steve Trachier and Head Men’s Basketball Coach Brennen Shingleton will deliver short remarks, and the university cheer squad will lead the university in a cheer. T-shirts will be given out after the event.

All faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to attend and support the team. Family and friends are welcome to join the celebration as well. Join us Tuesday to cheer on your Rams basketball.
