The countdown is on for the most anticipated event of Black History Month - the inaugural Black Excellence Gala hosted by the Black Student Association (BSA) at Texas Wesleyan University. On February 29th, from 7:30-10:00pm, the Texas Wesleyan community is invited to join an evening celebrating the richness, diversity and achievements of current and emerging leaders in the Black Fort Worth community!
This is the final reminder to secure tickets and be part of this historic occasion. Don't miss out on the chance to witness captivating vocal performances by Texas Wesleyan's own Dr. Angela Dampeer, Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Darion Chilton Jr, a graduating senior in Music Education.
In addition to the unforgettable entertainment lineup, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from esteemed speakers like Dr. Thomas J. Bell III. Aside from being a Professor of Business at Texas Wesleyan, he is also a visionary leader in Information Technology with over three decades of experience. Dr. Bell's keynote address will offer valuable insights into the intersection of academia and practical expertise, highlighting the importance of diversity and excellence in the field of IT.
Proceeds from the Black Excellence Gala will support BSA members in attending leadership conferences and organizing impactful events within the community, furthering the organization's mission to empower the next generation of Black leaders.
