Beta Beta Beta (Tri Beta) is a national biological honor society with a mission to encourage scientific leadership and build relationships in the scientific community. You'll get to network with future employers and have the opportunity to add leadership positions to your resume. As a student-lead organization, students set the agenda and plan events they want to participate in.
The Sigma Theta chapter of Tri Beta meets during free period on the first and third Tuesday of every month in McFadden Science Center 203 where guest speakers present research, advertise and recruit for summer internship opportunities and more. Snacks are provided!
Tri Beta also hosts seminars with prominent speakers in the scientific community. All faculty, staff and students are invited listen.
Want to join Tri Beta? All you have to do is complete at least three science courses and apply. You'll pay a one-time membership fee of $50 and then you're in. You don't even have to be a major in the School of Natural & Social Sciences, all science minors are also invited to join.
