About the American Chemical Society

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the largest scientific organization in the U.S with more than 150,000 members. The Texas Wesleyan student affiliate is dedicated to bringing students together to learn from each other and explore the world of chemistry. There are many opportunities locally, regionally and nationally through ACS.

As a member of ACS, you'll get to network with future employers in the chemistry field and build your resume with leadership opportunities. This is a student-led organization that lets you, the student, set the agenda and plan the events. Every fall we have a big event for National Chemistry Week where students volunteer at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

How do I join?

Everyone is welcome and the only requirement is an interest in chemistry. You don't have to fill out an application or submit a form. There are no membership dues either. Just come to one of our monthly meetings and you're in.
