Personal Biography
Dr. Elizabeth H. Battles is a Professor of English and Director of the Wesleyan Scholars Honors Program. She received a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from the University of Arizona, a Bachelor and Master of Arts from the University of Oxford, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Texas Christian University. She teaches writing and English literature, specializing in Victorian literature and Women’s Studies. Dr. Battles enjoys gardening, hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities. She is married and the mother of three grown sons.
