About the scholarship

The Pate Scholarship ranges from $1,000-$3,000. Winners are selected based on their grades, as well as, their involvement in the Texas Wesleyan community. You can renew the Pate Scholarship each year by reapplying.

The Pate Scholarship is named for the late Fort Worth businessman and philanthropist A. M. Pate. History was important to “Aggie” Pate and he was involved in different history-related activities in Fort Worth including the founding of the Pate Museum of Transportation and the Fort Worth Civil War Round Table.
