Nurse Anesthesia Programs Professional Licensure Disclosure

Professional licensure/certification requirements vary by state and U.S. territory. The University may only enroll students in a licensure/certification program if they are located in a state/U.S. territory that accepts our program to meet the educational requirements for licensure/certification in their state/U.S. territory. Alternatively, students may complete an attestation that they intend to seek employment in a state/U.S. territory that accepts our program. Certain disclosures to students are required related to the acceptance of the institution’s program by states/U.S. territories for licensure/certification purposes. The regulations apply to new Texas Wesleyan University students applying directly into a licensure/certification program and to continuing Texas Wesleyan University students who seek a change of program into a licensure/certification program effective July 1, 2024.

Texas Wesleyan has contacted state and U.S. territory licensing/certification authorities to confirm whether its programs meet the educational requirements leading to professional licensure/certification. Other requirements may include professional certification exams, background checks and work experience, among others.

While Texas Wesleyan will update the information here every May, requirements can change throughout the year. If you intend to practice outside of Texas, you should contact the appropriate licensing/certification authority to verify whether Texas Wesleyan's programs meet licensure/certification requirements before enrolling.

Because the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program’s first year courses are face-to-face on the Texas Wesleyan campus, the applicant’s location is Texas and students may enroll regardless of state from which they are applying.
