Spring 2026 Commencement
The Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May14, at 5 p.m. at the MacGorman Chapel on the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary campus.
All academic regalia should be worn to the Commencement ceremony, including mortar boards and tams.
Faculty members are asked to arrive at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Please be advised that parking fills quickly as guests are permitted to enter one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. There is no reserved parking, so faculty are advised to arrive early.
When faculty members enter the SWBTS campus, they should go to the MacGorman Chapel and enter through the "Faculty Entrance" door located on the east side of the building. There will be a sign leading you to the entrance as well as student volunteers. Faculty will line up in the choir room.

The RSVP site will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 19.
Graduates will need their student ID number and TXWES email to RSVP to participate in the commencement ceremony. Use the link at the top of the page to submit your RSVP.
RSVP FAQs
Regalia (Cap and Gown) Information
Regalia is required in order to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Order your custom academic regalia exclusively from Herff Jones no later than April 19 to avoid additional fees. It's tailored to you and the degree you've earned. Regalia must be paid for at the time of ordering and will be shipped directly to the graduate at no additional cost. Your regalia fee will need to be paid when you place your order. We encourage graduates to order early.
Beginning April 20 graduates can purchase their regalia directly from the University Campus Bookstore. All purchases must be made in-person and an additional fee will apply. Select items are not guaranteed to be in stock and quantities are limited.
Graduates are allowed to decorate the top of your graduation cap. Please make sure that it will not block the view of the guest sitting behind you, and it must be in good taste. Caps decorated in poor taste will not be allowed.
Guest Entry Information
- Graduates who submitted an RSVP are allowed 15 guests. There are no physical tickets, you do not need a ticket to attend.
- Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Doors open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
- Special arrangements are not required for children under the age of two who will be seated in an adult's lap for the duration of the ceremony.
- Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on both floors. Guests may use the elevator to access the second floor. For ADA accommodations email graduation@txwes.edu.
