Research Interests/Scholastic Profile

Dr. Gullion's research focuses on international and domestic gangs. Specifically, he is interested in studying the connection between culture, demographic issues and "way of life" of gangsters throughout the world. Dr. Gullion is currently authoring the book, "Gangsters", which documents this form of criminal behavior across the international landscape.

Additionally, Dr. Gullion specializes in demographic transition areas including mortality, fertility, and migration. Dr. Gullion is currently working on, "Project Detroit", which entails a social science approach tp explaining the demise and current conditions of motor city.
