Texas Wesleyan history majors Kelsey Becker and Selina Humphrey were awarded book scholarships for the upcoming academic year from two National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) chapters: the NSDAR Six Flags Chapter and NSDAR Mary Isham Keith Chapter.

Selina Humphrey was presented with the award at the meeting of the Mary Isham Keith Chapter on Thursday, May 5 and Kelsey Becker at the Six Flags Chapter meeting, held at the Ridglea Country Club, on Saturday, May 7. Both Ms. Humphrey and Ms. Becker are history majors and seeking secondary teaching certification.

Each NSDAR chapter awards scholarships in the spring to one outstanding female history student who plans to enter the teaching field.
