As an Interdisciplinary Studies student, you're preparing for many work environments that require you to have critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt. You'll design your own degree by taking classes from multiple disciplines that complement each other.

Most Interdisciplinary Studies students transfer from another college or university. Keep in mind, if you find an area of study you enjoy, you can always talk to your advisor and change your major to a more concentrated degree.

Apply Your A.A.S. Degree

Apply as a transfer student and submit your official transcripts showing completion of your Associate of Applied Science degree.

Evaluate Your Experience

We'll review your previous coursework, military service, professional certifications and eligible work experience to determine applicable transfer credit and Credit for Prior Learning.

Build Your Degree

After completing your Texas Wesleyan core coursework, you'll personalize your degree by selecting two career-focused concentrations:

Program Details

The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences is a degree completion program requiring 120 total credit hours.

Students typically complete:

• Up to 60 transferable hours from an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree
• Up to 15 Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) hours, when eligible
• The remaining coursework completed at Texas Wesleyan, including upper-division requirements and the University's institutional residency requirement.

Students attending full time can often complete the program in approximately two years, while part-time students generally finish in three to four years, depending on transfer credit and course load.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, you must:

• Hold an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree from an accredited institution, or
• Hold an equivalent two- or three-year degree from an international institution in a specific field of study.

Admission is based on available space, and qualified applicants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
