Mike Bishop, PhD., LMFT-S, LPC-S 

Dr. Bishop is Professor of Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University.  He is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor for the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT).  He has served as the President of the Texas Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (TAMFT) and previously served on the Board of Directors of AAMFT.  Dr. Bishop has served on the AAMFT Ethics Committee for four years and served two terms as Chair.   For six seasons, Dr. Bishop was the Athlete Assistance Consultant for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club and is presently a Mental Health Team Consultant for the Dallas Mavericks basketball team of the NBA, the Texas Legends, TCU Men’s Basketball, SMU men’s Tennis, and SMU Athletic Department. Dr. Bishop is a member of the Association for Applied Sports Psychology and a Certified Sports Performance Consultant (CMPC).  He has provided Couples and Family Therapy for over 35 years and specializes in executive and professional couple’s therapy and sports performance at  www.drmbishop.com
