Web Accessibility Policy

Texas Wesleyan University is committed to ensuring accessibility of its website and intranet to people with disabilities. All web content produced by our organization is expected to meet the standard put forth by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 meeting the Level A criteria, at minimum, as outlined by WCAG 2.0 standards.

This policy applies to all existing and upcoming content on In addition, Texas Wesleyan University will ensure third-party content providers, vendors and developers are aware of our accessibility policy.

All content on contributed through our content management system by web content contributors will undergo an approval process that includes a reviewal of accessibility as defined by our standards. This approval process is the responsibility of content owners and the Office of Marketing and Communications.

This policy was adopted on May 30, 2017. This policy will be reviewed annually. This policy was last reviewed on June 8, 2022.
