Artist Statement and Bio

Artist Statement

"My works explore the analog process of cut-and-paste collage, and they are a nod to the tradition of assemblage and the pre-digital editing process of film."

Biography & Resume

I was born in Mexico City and moved to Texas, where I grew up in a family that worked in the film and theater industry. These factors have informed most of my mixed-media work. I am an MFA graduate of the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and I currently teach in the humanities full-time (and for 15 years) at Richland College.
