At Texas Wesleyan University, we believe in building a campus where learning, growth, and community matter. Our Student Accountability Process is designed to support your development—not just hold you accountable.
When someone’s behavior goes against our community standards, the Student Accountability Process helps address the issue in a fair and educational way. It is not about punishment—it is about helping students reflect, make better choices, and stay aligned with what it means to be part of this community.
Our process is different from the courts. It is faster, educational, and focused on fairness. Students are given clear notice of concerns and a chance to be heard. Decisions are based on whether it is more likely than not that a policy was violated, and any outcome reflects the seriousness of the behavior and the student’s overall Disciplinary History.
Everyone here has a role in creating a safe, respectful environment. If a student’s actions seriously harm or threaten that community, they may lose the privilege of being part of it.
