Research Interests/Scholastic Profile

Methodological interests include applied general linear model statistics and attenuation of effect sizes due to score reliability. Substantive interests include best practices in educational research education, including the dissertation process, and construct measurement/instrument development.

Celia M. (Wilson) Scott is an associate professor of education at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX  In this role she teaches courses in educational research methods, statistics, and curriculum and instruction.  Prior to joining Texas Wesleyan, Celia served as coordinator of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Analysis at the University of North Texas in Denton.  Dr. Scott earned a Ph.D. in educational research from the University of North Texas in Denton and both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
