How to Apply

Applying to Texas Wesleyan is simple and easy. Don’t wait, start your application today. These are the steps you'll follow to apply:

 
  1. Submit your priority application by Aug. 1

    Set yourself up for success by submitting your application and paperwork by the priority date. Our program is competitive and seats fill up fast. Submitting your application ahead of the competition will give you an advantage and could help you secure your first choice in clinical sites.

    For priority consideration, submit your application and requirements by Aug. 1, 2019. We'll accept applications after this date, but we'll start allocating seats when interviews start.

    Application Requirements:

    • Essay
    • Official GRE score
    • Official transcripts
    • Copies of licenses and certifications
    • Recommendations
    • Application fee payment
    • College-level chemistry course (taken within 3 years of program start date with a B or better)
    • College-level algebra course (with a grade of B or better)
  2. Application deadline is Dec. 15

    We will not accept any applications after the Dec. 15, 2019 deadline.

  3. Interviews are between Oct. 15 - Jan. 31

    Qualified applicants will be scheduled for an interview between Oct. 15, 2019, and Jan. 31, 2020.

  4. Acceptance notifications sent between Nov. 1 - Feb. 12

    Acceptance notifications will go out beginning in November through the beginning of February and will include the assigned clinical site. Acceptance of your seat, confirmation of your assigned clinical site and payment of your seat deposit all must be completed within 14 calendar days of notification.

  5. Credentialing is due March 23, 2020

    New students are required to complete a credentialing process, once their clinical site is accepted. You'll need to meet some requirements as part of the credentialing process

    Keep in mind, each clinical site in the entry-level DNAP program has different credentialing requirements.

  6. Mark your calendar for new student orientation in August 2020

    New student orientation will be held in August 2020.

    Due to COVID-19, the 2021 DNAP priority deadline has been changed to Sept. 1, 2020. We'll accept applications after this date, but we'll start allocating seats when interviews start. The final deadline will remain Dec. 1, 2020.
